Overview

The Xt-EHR project is dedicated to establishing guidelines for the development of a comprehensive, interoperable, and secure Electronic Health Records (EHR) system that promotes smooth connections among healthcare providers within Member States (MS). This strategic initiative seeks to provide clear directives for enhancing patient care, streamlining data exchange, and improving overall efficiency in the healthcare ecosystem.

Work Packages

The project's diverse array of work packages (WPs) cover the establishment of guidelines and technical specifications for electronic health record systems (WPs 5, 6, and 7), as well as the development of certification frameworks and the promotion of telemedicine services uptake (WPs 8 and 9), all aimed at aligning with the objectives of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) proposal.

Project Outcomes

The Project Management Plan and thorough requirement analysis laid the groundwork for developing technical specifications and implementation guides crucial for EHRs and key system interfaces, ensuring compliance with the EHDS regulation across Member States.
